Radiograph - Also known as an X-ray. (RCP)
Restorations - Replacement for lost tooth structure or teeth (RCP)
Reversible pulpitis → see Pulp
Root - The part of the tooth below the neck covered by cementum rather than enamel and attached by the periodontal ligament to the alveolar bone. (AAE)
- Root Canal - Part of the pulp cavity inside the tooth root; the chamber in the tooth root that contains the pulp (RCP). The space within a tooth that runs from the pulp chamber to the tip of the root (ADBQ)
- Root Canal Therapy - Treatment of disease and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions. (RCP)
- Root canal treatment - The process of removing diseased or damaged pulp from a tooth, then filling and sealing the pulp chamber and root canals (ADBQ)
- Root Caries - Tooth decay on the roots (RCP).
- Root Planing - A procedure that removes bacterial toxins, calculus, and diseased cementum or dentin on the root surfaces and in the pocket. (RCP)
