The graduate of the General Dentist degree program at FES Iztacala is a healthcare professional who performs comprehensive preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative treatments based on scientific, critical, humanistic, and technical principles.

To fulfill their functions, the graduate of the General Dentist degree program at FES Iztacala:

  1. Possesses knowledge, skills, abilities, values, and attitudes to observe, identify, diagnose, and solve oral health problem
  2. Is dedicated to the prevention, preservation, and care of oral health as part of overall health.
  3. Keeps updated through critical analysis of scientific knowledge and development of clinical skills.
  4. Participates in oral health education programs.
  5. Diagnoses oral diseases.
  6. Performs comprehensive dental treatment.
  7. Identifies problems beyond their competence and refers them to the appropriate authority.
  8. Recognizes risk factors for oral diseases.
  9. Applies official regulations that govern professional practice.
  10. Demonstrates professional and ethical attitude.

Dentistry professionals can practice in various settings, such as:

  1. Private Dental Clinic.
  2. Private Dental Clinics.
